Today I wanted to show you some of the fabulous items you can find at the Windlight Magazine Winter Showcase, which opens tomorrow.

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, and I love seeing all the fabulous Christmas creations in SL.

The merchants at the Showcase have designated items where the proceeds will go to benefit Team Diabetes of SL.

This fabulous gown from Spyralle is one of those items.  I’m wearing it here with my Maitreya body.  The elegant mesh gown comes in 5 standard sizes and 4 different colors.  I chose the red, of course. 😛

Complementing the gorgeous Spyralle gown is some equally fabulous jewelry from Zuri Rayna.  It’s a little hard to see in the picture above, so I took a close up.

The Candy Cane Christmas set comes with the earrings, choker, and bracelet. In addition to getting some fantastic jewelry, 100% of the sale proceeds for this item go to Team Diabetes.

All the decor items are from the House of Avro, with the exception of the fireplace and the ornament in my hand.

You can find the adorable reindeer, the tree, and the poinsettias on the fireplace at the House of Avro shop in the Windlight Showcase shopping area.

There are several different varieties of Christmas trees available, two of which are the Team Diabetes items.

I was starting to have withdrawals, I hadn’t taken a LOTD picture in so long. 😦

There have been so many events and hunts lately that I was getting overwhelmed.

A ton of stuff, and no time to open it all!

Purple Moon is having another Halloween hunt, and I just love her designs, so I rushed right over to do it.

Lots of wonderful goodies, and not everything is orange, so yay! 😛

I also stopped off at the current round of Genre, which is urban-themed.

I had a few moments to myself to open boxes and sort through things today, so I did.

And the Lelutka heads were just updated to include expressions, so I had to try them out.

The hair is a freebie find from Lelutka – it’s in the mainstore in the hair section (obviously), and it says demo, but it’s wearable (no giant sign above your head) and it comes with all the color HUDs so you can make it any color you want.

The jacket, pants, and adorable purse are from the Purple Moon Halloween hunt.

I went to the Boho Culture fair and picked up this great jewelry set from Elysium (it was either free or $1L – I can’t remember which).

The fabulous boots are from N Core, currently out at Kustom9.

You can change them via HUD to be ankle, knee, or thigh high boots – so versatile!

The pose is a free gift from addme at The Seasons Story.

The great grungy backdrop and barrels are from Circa Living, currently out at Genre.

I picked up a couple of these ‘photoscenes’ from Circa – inexpensive and so terrific for backgrounds in photos. 🙂

I still have a ton more things to open, so I will be working on more LOTD pics soon.

I must admit, I’m super proud of this picture.

It was a spur of the moment pic, and trying to make it look like it was underwater wasn’t the easiest.

However, it turned out really well, and to date, is one of my favorite pics of the photos I’ve done.

Of course, it helps when you have amazing items like these.

I’ve already raved about how in love I am with my Maitreya Lara mesh body and the Lelutka head.

When I visited the Enchantment event, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

I played the FDD Stories gacha on a whim, thinking that I could make even mismatched items work.

Imagine my surprise when I scored the ultra rare corset on my second pull!!

This thing is seriously fantabulous – it comes with a HUD that lets you change every single little detail.

I had gotten the pink panties on the first pull, so I just made everything pink!

Hair, nails, corset – the works. 😛

You all know I love Chandra’s work over at !deviousMind – she has some crazy mad skills when it comes to creating.

When I saw the gacha key for these seahorses, I knew I had to have one.

Only $75L for all this gorgeousness?

Yes, please!

Plus, they make these delightful bubbles when you wear them. 🙂

It’s a busy week for me, trying to get everything in order for my kiddos to start school.

So it’s a madhouse, as usual, with a little bit of extra crazy thrown in. 😛

I’m really missing having time to go around and shop, but I did manage to pick up a few new things to show you.

I have yet to take off this super-cute hair from Wasabi Pills from the last $50L Friday.

While over at On9, I picked up this gorgeous shirt from Purple Moon.

It comes in several different colors, but I fell in love with this fuschia shade.

There is a regular version and a translucent version – I’m wearing the translucent here.

The cute gold cuffs come with the shirt – bonus!

I threw on some old skinny jeans and paired them with these jaw-dropping heels from N-Core.

I’m so glad that N-Core has started making shoes for mesh feet other than their own – I seriously LOVE their designs.

Always on the lookout for a good deal, I picked up this cute garden set for $99L at Hello Tuesday this week.

It’s from Bee Designs, and everything you see (and some you don’t) is included.

It has a rezzer so you can adjust everything just where you want it – plus, it’s adorable!
