Sinners Burlesque Christmas Show

Last week I was fortunate enough to attend the Sinners Burlesque Christmas Show.

Sinners 12182015 1When I heard that Yummy was going to be onstage, I knew I couldn’t miss it.  And I’m glad I didn’t, because it was a great show!

The opening number was an adorable one, with the dancer in a snowglobe and penguins circling her.

Sinners 12182015 2So cute. 🙂

The next number was a group routine (I’ve lost my notes, so I don’t know the song, but it was very cute.)

The venue itself was decorated to the nines, including sleighs for the audience to sit in while they enjoyed the show.

Sinners 12182015 3And then, the number I’d been waiting for. 😀

Yummy was in a group number and it was spectacular!

Aura did a fabulous job with the choreography and I loved the costumes.

You can’t see him in the photo, but there was also an adorable polar bear who made a surprise appearance. 😛

Sinners 12182015 4The next routine was a solo number – a lovely ballet set in front of a Nativity scene.

After the ballerina, Aura took to the stage once again in a very jazzy, burlesque number, which I unfortunately did not get a picture of.

(I was too busy snooping around to see how she was working her magic.)

Sinners 12182015 5The final act of the show left everyone in the audience grinning.

Dancing (in reverse drag) to ‘Walkin’ ‘Round in Women’s Underwear’ (one of the vastly under-rated Christmas classics), it was an adorable number and a great end to the show.

Sinners Burlesque – The Bat Show

On Friday, the Sinners Burlesque troupe hosted a charity event for Bat World, part of the “The Truth About Bats & Avies” event run by SL Goth.

The show was spectacularly spooky, with, of course, lots of bats. 😀

Sinners Bat Show 1A trio of scary bat dancers opened the show.

I don’t usually set my lighting to midnight for shows, because I find it difficult to take pictures.

However, for this act, I must admit that the shot I took at midnight is better.

I love the silhouette of the dancers against the huge moon.

Very spooky, indeed!

Sinners Bat Show 2After the trio exited the stage, Aura took to the stage for a very informative and beautiful routine.

I had no idea how fragile bats can be.

Light pollution affects them, as does the use of pesticides.

Aura’s act was beautiful, but haunting.

Apropos for Halloween. 🙂

Sinners Bat Show 3Next up was Sanne, dancing on a rather scary looking bat.

I didn’t record the names of the songs they danced to, but they were all slow, spooky, and hauntingly gorgeous.

The glowing red eyes in the background was a nice touch.

After Sanne, Aura took to the stage again.

Sinners Bat Show 4This time it was more of a traditional Halloween set, with a bit of goth thrown in. 😀

After rising from her coffin, she danced, and then was mobbed by her flock of bats and vanished.

A cool effect. 😛

In addition to events like these, they also do regular cabaret/burlesque shows.

A wonderful troupe with some amazingly creative dancers.

Sinners Burlesque

Yesterday, while I was busy on working on other projects, I got a ping.

Sinners Burlesque was having a show.

Sinners 1Never having seen one of their shows, I hustled on over and grabbed a seat right before show time.

The show started with a lovely Japanese-themed number.

The trio of dancers was surrounded by cherries and cherry blossom trees.

I didn’t catch the name of the song, unfortunately.

I did have some issues with the dance animations not appearing smooth for me, but that was most likely due to my late arrival at the venue.

After the Japanese dancers, there was a routine involving a naughty nun.

Sinners 3I’m pretty sure nuns aren’t supposed to have tattoos or dance around a pentagram inside a church.

She was so naughty I had to dig out the censor bar again!

I was having some technical issues at this point, as were the dancers.

There was a false start and after they got everything settled, it appeared the main dancer’s HUD was frozen or something.

However, he did a great job of freestyling his dance and the number was very cute.

Sinners 4I’ve always wanted to visit FunkyTown. 😀

You can’t really tell in the photo, but both his suit and the back up dancers’ costumes were animated, adding a cool effect to the number.

The next number was another new-to-me Madonna song.

That makes two in two weeks!

It was called ‘Graveyard,’ I think – I’ll have to add it to my ‘buy’ list as well.

Sinners 5I managed to catch a snap of the number before I was booted from SL.

By the time I was able to log back in, I had missed the rest of the show. 😦

The little I did see was very well done, so look them up, join their group, and stay updated on their happenings.

Sinner’s Burlesque

I’ve been seeing several advertisements for Sinner’s Burlesque, but I hadn’t yet made it to a show.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay for the entire show, but I did snap a couple of pics.  The sets were interesting and the dancing was well done.  I’m sorry I didn’t get to see more of what looked like a good show.  If you get the chance, be sure to check out their next cabaret show on May 24, 2014 at 3pm.

Here are the two acts I did see:

If recruiters looked like this, the Navy would have to turn people away!

SB 2

This was a cool steampunk-themed number, although I can’t for the life of me remember the song.  :-/

I’ve marked their next show on my calendar so I’ll be sure not to miss it!
