Then it exploded.

I should start calling these ‘Look of the Week’ posts instead of LOTD posts. -.-

It’s gotten crazy busy for me, but in a good way.

Since today is Halloween, I wanted to get this pic posted, even if it’s almost over. 😛

This is a costume I wore for a performance at the Main Event Show Lounge for our Halloween show.

I love Boudoir, but a lot of their items do not ‘dance’ well.

Luckily for me, this one did, because I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. 😀

Since this was purely a ‘fun’ pic for me, I have edited it in Photoshop.

I’ve added the green sparkles, as well as some of the spooky green highlights.

I am constantly amazed at the flexibility of Photoshop and how much fun I have playing around with different options and features.

I have several programs that will add effects for me in one-click, but I get much more enjoyment from playing around myself and seeing what cool effects I can make.

It’s been a quiet evening here, not one trick-or-treater at all.

I hope you are all enjoying your Halloween.

Me, I’m ready for fall, Thanksgiving, and turkey. 😛

Howling Asylum – Black Witch Altar (@Twisted Hunt)

Paper Moon – Devil Trap Decal – Worn

I seem to be in a dark mood with these last of couple of LOTD posts.

I blame the Twisted Hunt. 😛

So much black and white goodness – I’m still sorting it all out.

When I saw this altar from Howling Asylum, I knew immediately I would be using it.

The cute Qi dress from Rowena’s Designs comes with a color change HUD to change the color of the design on the dress.

The fabulous heels I picked up at Reign in their discount store (I love a good deal!).

I’ve been waiting to use this hair from Tableau Vivant in a photo – it’s from their gacha at the recent Arcade round.

I got several of them, and they are fabulous to use in photos.

Since I finally took off my mesh head for a bit, I’ve been experimenting with using the AnyPose expression HUD.

Some of the facial contortions are pretty entertaining. 😛

I think for my next LOTD, I’ll try to do something a bit less dark.

Maybe. 😀

In the Dark – LOTD #215

She stood tall, gazing

down at him haughtily.

“What do you say, boy?”

Floorplan – Leaning Cross – White  (@Collabor88)

Second Spaces – Coven Hall Stand – Black (@Collabor88)

Genre and My Attic @ The Deck are two of my favorite events, and I am loving all the goodies from the current rounds.

First, the decor piece from Genre – I LOVE LOVE LOVE these animated storm frames from Paper Moon!

There are three different ones, and they are all amazing.

Collabor88 had these other fab pieces from Floorplan and Second Spaces.

Floorplan has been a favorite store for a long while, and this cross is an example of why.

I also love the hall stand from Second Spaces – it’s such a versatile piece.

The outfit is all from My Attic – and fantastic pieces they are!

The top and pants are from The Annex, and they are adorable.

Choose from lots of different colors so you can mix/match to your own personal style.

The shoes from Bushu are amazing, and come in a variety of colors as well.

I’m loving this skin from Lumae so much I haven’t taken it off yet. 😀

And I’m all attitude with this pose from Ma Vie, also found at My Attic.

This round of My Attic closes soon (September 30), so don’t miss out on all the goodies!

Genre and Collabor88 will be open for a while yet, but you should definitely check them out as well.

Happy shopping!

LOTD #171 – Dark Underworld

LOTD 171

He faltered as she paused, turning slowly.

“You doubt my powers?” she asked in a deceptively calm voice, as the ghostly lights flickered about her.

“No, mistress,” he whispered, trembling.

Hair: Truth – Shaylee  (2284)

Skin: WoW Skins – Amanda – Milk

Shape: Laqroki – Glow (modded)

Hands/Feet/Body: Maitreya – Lara

Eyes:  IKON – Utopia Eyes – Pale Cerulean

Eyeliner: Tuty’s – Egyptian

Eyeshadow:  Plastik – Fauxe Makeup – Panda

Lipstick: A&A – Mono – V2 5

Headpiece:  Black Pearls – Isoderia Headjewel (@Genre)  (9091)

Lights: Paper Moon – Spirit Flames – White (@Genre)

Pose:  Verocity

Genre is an event I found long ago that has become one of my favorites.

The items are all $100L or less, so my Lindens go farther than usual.

I needed that this round, because there are so many amazing items!

The theme is “Underworld,” and though I didn’t think I would find much, I was so wrong. 😀

This drop-dead gorgeous gown is from Les Encantadas.

The bracers and shoulder pieces are included and I love the way the silver and blue complement each other.

The floating flames are from Paper Moon – I saw them advertised on Plurk and had to have them!

They come in three different versions – white (pictured here), washed out, and turquoise.

They added the perfect ghostly/arcane touch for my photo.

I am in love with this breathtaking headpiece from Black Pearls.

As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what kind of photo I wanted to do.

I’m a sucker for horns anyway, and this piece is so well-made and intricately detailed. 😀

The stunning hair is from Truth, of course – a recent release.

The cascade of curls down the front are gorgeous, and the raven color completes the look.

The skin is another new acquisition from WoW skins, courtesy of their group lucky boards.

I wanted something paler than I usually wear and Amanda fit the bill perfectly.

Genre just opened on the 15th, so you have plenty of time to head over there and pick up some of this deliciousness for yourselves!

LOTD #161 – Loose Lips

LOTD 161

He’d caught her dancing, her portable radio blaring out that ridiculous ‘boogie woogie’ music.

The platform she was on didn’t seem very sturdy, but she was oblivious.

To it, and him.

Vintage Posters:  Paper Moon – WWI/WWII Posters  (@Genre)

Hideout:  Noctis – Renegade Army Hideout  (@Genre)

The theme for this round of Genre (in case you hadn’t guessed), is Military.

I had a ton of fun putting everything together for this picture.

I love the hideout from Noctis – so many options, and it comes with corner and straight pieces, so you can mix and match.

I’m a sucker for anything vintage and military, and I absolutely adore these posters from Paper Moon.

There are 4 posters in each set (WWI & WWII) and they added the perfect touch.

Rosie the Riveter is an iconic wartime image, so this T-shirt from Fission was a must-buy.

I paired it with the skirt from Kastle Rock and added a pair of dirty work boots.

Truth added about 80 hairs to their current discount sale, so I picked up Vicki on my second trip (because – hair!).

If you haven’t made it over to Genre, you have until July 10th to stop by.

Don’t forget to pick up the sweet “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” pose pack from NanTra. 🙂

LOTD #139 – Eulogy

LOTD 139She had been in a silly mood that day.

As they wound their way through the museum, she stopped to strike a pose next to one of the statues.

They had been so carefree in those days – never planning anything.

He shoved the worn picture into his pocket, stepped up to the podium, and cleared his throat.
