I’ve been on a bit of a Photoshop kick lately, so I’ve been taking more pictures, just as an excuse to play around. 😛

Also, it gives me an excuse to sort through my stacks of boxes to discover what goodies I’ve forgotten about.

I saw this hair on another blog, so I went over to pick it up and try it (free hair, why not?!).

It’s from Lelutka, so I’m hoping that means it will play nicely with my Lelutka head, when I get around to wearing it again.

Which will probably be soon – I do NOT miss having to liquify every photo to get rid of jagged edges on the system avis!

(Why must elbows look like the alps when your arm bends??!!)

I saw this outfit and accessories from Glitzz and just couldn’t resist the old school look.

The outfit comes with the stockings and wrist ties; the accessories – the cigarette holder, the boa, and a top hat – are sold separately.

I know I’ll get a lot of use out of them. 😀

The boots are from Pure Poison, and I’ve been waiting for just the right photo to wear them.

They come with this version for the regular system avi, as well as versions for all the popular mesh bodies.

I still have some playing around to do with other photos, but it’s back to unboxing and sorting for me!

Things have been hectic in RL this week, getting everyone back to school and back on a regular schedule.

I’ve been wandering around SL, trying to find new stores and new locations to visit and photograph.

While wandering around looking for shoe sales, I happened upon the Entice store.

It had lots of cute items and reasonable prices, so I just had to pick up this cute dress.

I thought I had the perfect pair of shoes to match, but when I tried them on, they didn’t. 😦

So you know what that means.

More shoe shopping!!!

In the meantime, I threw on these cute boots from Bax and some fabulous hair from Truth.

The lights are an impulse purchase while I was at We ❤ Roleplay, but I’m glad I got them.

It’s nice to be able to add effects in-world, so that I’m not trying to create everything from scratch in Photoshop. 🙂

I got these from Alegria, and another set of lights from Jian, which I hope to use in another shoot later.

I think I’ve reached a point where I am ‘evented’ out.

Every time I turn around, there’s another event.

How on earth dedicated fashion bloggers keep up with all of them, I have no idea.

They skip sleeping, maybe?

I used to wonder how designers/creators kept up too.

Since I’ve started going to more events, however, I’ve noticed a lot of repeats – the same item at different events.

I’ve gotten into a vicious cycle of shopping, blogging, shopping, blogging – I’ve forgotten to have fun while I’m doing it.

So I made the conscious choice to slow down.

I bought enough items over the past couple of weeks to keep me busy with photos for the next couple of months.

I’ve also made the conscious decision to curb my impulse spending.

I limit the events I go to, I set a budget for the event, and I only buy items I really love.

I’ve come to rely heavily on Seraphim and their ‘galleries’ of items at events.

I don’t have to fight lag to look at the items, and sometimes, there just isn’t anything I have to have at the event.

So I don’t even go, thus saving time, L$, and my sanity. 😀

For instance, I went to FaMESHed and bought only two items – one of which is this gorgeous dress from Coquet.

I love the color, the off-shoulder cut, the lace at the hem – so many lovely details.

When I saw these amazing shoes from Chic Chica at the Cosmopolitan Room, I knew they would be perfect for this dress.

You can see all the jaw-dropping detail in the inset photo.

I love how they are sexy and delicate and feminine – a trifecta for heels. 😛

I wanted to add a little ‘something’ to my look, and the eyeshadow from PMD at the Makeup Room was the perfect touch.

There are 6 different colors, in both system tattoos and appliers for your Lelutka head.

I don’t usually shop at Argrace, but I’ve found myself wearing their hair for the last several days.

First I fell in love with their ‘wet hair’ look, and when I saw this adorable pixie cut on another blog, I ran right over there and picked it up.

I love the waviness and the cute little hair clip in the front.

Now, excuse me while I go dig around in the pile of chaos I call my inventory and see what other gems I’ve picked up to show off!

I’m still in the process of organizing my mess of an inventory.

I’ve done so much shopping in the last few weeks it’s crazy.

I have stuff I forgot I had!

I went to the last round of My Attic @ The Deck and picked up some really neat items at some crazy prices.

Like this pool from Winx & Flair.

At only 95L, it was a complete steal.

Who doesn’t want/need a pool?

It comes with several different colored towels and cushions you can rez, along with a cute splash effect.

It was the perfect backdrop for this amazing bikini from Luxuria (also at My Attic).

I’m wearing the system version here, but it also comes with appliers for your mesh bod.

The necklace is another great find from Yummy at No21.

I love charm necklaces and this one is just adorable. 😀

Although it’s a poolside pic, I couldn’t resist adding these shoes from Essenz.

To celebrate a FB milestone, the San Jose heels were given as a group gift.

My eyes are from Dulce Secrets from this round of Designer Showcase.

I love the color and the reflections in them.

The item that really inspired this look was this amazing hair from Argrace.

I saw someone wearing it on a post on ASN and I just fell in love with it.

I love the wet, fresh from the water look.

I knew I had the perfect prop from oOo Studios – a towel with poses built in.

If you’ve never been to oOo Studios, you should go immediately – she does some really amazing poses.

The towel is also texture change, so it is a very versatile piece.

With my summer winding to a close, I thought I’d take the chance to spend some time by my virtual pool.

Now all I need is a good book and a frozen drink!
