Friday was the Halloween show for the Lady Garden Cabaret Minxettes.
I haven’t been to a show there in a while, but it was as good as I remember.
Galilla and Rug opened the show, dancing to ‘I Ain’t Got Nobody.’
Apparently they found a couple of extra skeletons laying around and put them to work. 😛
After Galilla and Rug, it was Kismet’s turn on stage.
I’ve enjoyed watching Kismet at LGC and at Winds of the Sahara.
Some people are fantastically good at set building, and she is one of them.
Dancing to ‘I Put a Spell on You,’ she definitely cast a spell on the audience.
I love all the set details – the floating books, the wall of bookcases, the giant magical orb.
Speaking of fantastic set builders, this next set was just spectacular.
The mixture of whites, greys, blacks, and cool blues was simply amazing.
Tons of detail – so much you don’t know where to look.
And the costume for this act – so creepily cool.
Aelva danced to ‘Ex’s and Oh’s,’ and if this act is any indication, stay on her good side. 😛
After Aelva, it was time for Chandra to take the stage.
Her sets are always amazing, as are her costumes.
This time Sexys got in on the action as well, playing Chandra’s skeleton dance partner.
I love how when I take pictures, I’m sometimes concentrating so much on trying to get the dancer in a good position, that I miss other details.
Like the skeletons sitting at the table, which I completely missed during the performance. 😀
Galilla and Rug returned to the stage for another act, this time dancing to Madonna’s ‘Vogue.’
An insane asylum seems like a weird place to be vogue-ing, but to each his own, I guess. 😛
The lady in the straight jacket was just straight up creepy.
I’ll be seeing her in my nightmares, I think.
The last act of the show was a group number, led by Chandra.
Dancing to ‘Sugar, Sugar,’ the stage and the dancers were all decked out in Dia de los Muertos gear.
Sugar skulls everywhere you looked, and hot dancers everywhere else. 😀
Another fantastic set build and some eye candy for the audience.
Lady Garden Cabaret performs on the last Friday of each month at 3pm SLT.
