LOTD 197

She paused a moment.

He was late; she loathed waiting.

She frowned, debating.

As I approach 200 LOTD posts, I find myself debating how to change them up and make them more interesting.

During a conversation with Yummy about literary devices (she started it, honest!), she mentioned that she had thought my captions for the LOTD posts were intended to be haikus.

While that was not my intention, I can see how my short captions could be interpreted that way – a ‘Katku’ as Yummy dubbed it. 😛

So, I’ve decided to write actual haikus (starting with this LOTD post) and see how it goes.

I’ve always liked haikus – I think the brevity and the rigid format appeals to the minimalist in me.

I’ll see how it goes – if nothing else, it certainly forces me to think more carefully about my word choices and imagery, which is good practice.

I’ve been on a vintage kick lately thanks to my repeated visits to the Vintage & Cool Fair, and now the FAD event has a round going with ‘vintage’ as the theme, so I shall be heading over there later.  There’s a cute poodle skirt I’ve got my eye on. 😛

I absolutely adore this hair from Vanity (another stop on my t0-visit list) and this dress from Dead Dollz is just gorgeous.

I love the bow, and the lace top is an applier for my mesh bod.

I must confess, I don’t like fussing with all the appliers. I find myself sticking to skins that are built-in to my Lelutka head and Maitreya body, and though I own a gross ton of nail appliers, I rarely use them, instead making do with the shades that are built-in to the Maitreya HUD.

I wish there was a way to insert/add new appliers into the HUD.  Sigh.  A girl can dream, right? 😀

The shoes are a MP find from KC Couture and were the perfect touch for this outfit.
