LOTD Changes and #162 – Jane Eyre

I’ve been in a bit of quandary for the last several weeks regarding the LOTD posts.

When I started them, my original intention was to:

1. document my seemingly endless inventory of costumes and clothing
2. work on my photography skills
3. work on my Photoshop skills

 

Since I started the LOTD posts, I’ve taken classes in both photography and Photoshop, so I hope I’m improving!

I have completed (mostly) my inventory sorting and so I have also begun using the LOTD posts to show off goodies I pick up at current events.

With those posts, I try not to edit the photos too heavily, because I want the items to appear as they do in-world.

So I’ve been playing a sort of balancing game, trying to balance my desire to show some items ‘as is’ and to also get to play around with all the fun tools in Photoshop. 😀

My lovely husband even bought me a drawing tablet in the hopes that I could improve my editing further.

I’m still learning to use it – thank goodness I have an artistic daughter who knows how!

Around LOTD #100 or so, I started writing little story snippets to go along with the photos.

Because I’m easily bored, I am feeling the need to change things up with the LOTD posts yet again.

So instead of short little stories I write, some of the posts will be based on the writing of others.

Perhaps I’m also feeling a need to distance myself from the posts because my new mesh head doesn’t feel like ‘me’ yet.

In the meantime, I hope you find something to enjoy in the LOTD posts. 😀

Written by a woman pretending to be a man in order to be taken seriously in a patriarchal society.

How far we have not come.
