Tuesday Tidbits

tidbit-tuesdayI’m finding it hard to get back in the groove after the long holiday weekend.

I’d hoped that after school was out I’d have more time in SL.

But alas, summer sports are already encroaching upon my time, so I may not be able to post as often as I’d like.

When I do get a bit of free time today, I will be spending some L$, I’m sure –

⇒  The new round of Uber is open, with a theme of ‘Spice.’

Judging from the pics I’ve seen so far, everything looks exotic and beautiful and right up my alley. 😛

⇒  There has been an update to the Black Dragon viewer and there are some interesting changes made to the snapshot preview.

I will be downloading it and trying it out – my computer graphics card doesn’t groan nearly as much with Black Dragon, for some reason.

⇒  New World Notes reported that Oculus and USC are working together to capture your RL expression and put it on your avatar.

I’m not a fan.

I don’t ever see wearing these gigantic headsets becoming a popular trend.

I jump back and forth from RL to SL way to often for wearing a rig that ridiculous which I would have to put on/take off 10 times a day.

Also, I don’t want my RL expression captured for SL.

Just – no.

⇒  I was glad to find out that I’m not the only one who doesn’t find Flickr intuitive to use.

Kate Bergdorf has some of the same questions I do.

⇒   If you’re an SL blogger, the [SL] Blogger Support site has reworked their layout and is now available for blogger registration once again.

That’s all for this quick Tuesday Tidbits.

Have a great day, folks!

  1. No one finds Flickr easy to use anymore. Just as you get used to it being one way, they change everything around with no announcements and no way to figure out anything except by spending hours clicking on everything. I’ve been a premium member for years and now we get nothing extra for that. But it is a good community for SL photographers, provided you don’t accept contacts from those who are just showing pics of items from their store, well unless you want to follow that store. 🙂

    1. Two other issues which confused me – what’s the difference between a ‘contact’ and someone you ‘follow’? Also, doesn’t the TOS of Flickr say that you aren’t supposed to use it for ads for your stores? Or does that only apply for RL stores?
